National Development Forum

The Forum Provides Opportunities For:

  • Public education on important policies and plans to enhance wider public understanding;
  • Government to obtain feedback from the public to design or reconsider existing policies and programs, especially to improve implementation of policies; and
  • Getting authorities out in the open to explain their positions and the functions of the offices they manage.

The 2018 National Development Forum was held over three days (30th October-01st November) focusing on economic growth, quality education, and quality health care on the respective days of the forum. These discussion topics are in line with the 5 top government priorities outlined in the Alotau Accord II.
